Suggestion 2: Make An Official Game Design Document (GDD)

As the ideas are being fleshed out for the game they should be written down in a centralized document called the Game Design Doc. The GDD contains the concept art, characters, items, level layouts, game mechanics, everything that will be in the game. It is also important to update the GDD if anything is wanted to be changed from what was in the original GDD, like updating it to GDD 1.1, GDD 2.0 etc. Think of the GDD as a game developer's bible. Each person can use it as a reference to keep themselves from moving away from the direction the game is supposed to be heading. If you guys are interested in the concept of a GDD let me know and I can show you guys a good way to lay one out.

I have begun to compile most of what we have into a word document simply for the sake of having everything compiled into one document. Once I get things all compiled I will upload it for everybody.

I like the idea. It makes sense to have multiple files which would allow you to highlight the differences made in each version. I've only done something similar to this with a few of my stories, but it helps to look back at old ideas I might have altered or thrown away and be able to figure out why.

I've started the prologue for the game script. I'll add it in to the first draft.

I also have sample GDDs that I have from a game development school I went to, let me know if anyone would like to see them.

What format are they in? Usually you can just use the advanced options and attach.

Its a word document, also I don't see an option for advanced options.

I can't find an attachment or advanced options tab anywhere, so perhaps we made a bad choice with forums and hosting abilities

Who's in the picture?

A character I originally created for an Eyes On RPG. His name is Cyfer. He wears a head band with four small horns. Two are nearer to the outer edge of his forehead and two are fastened to a metal plate in the band center of his forehead. This makes it useful for headbutts. He also wears a blacklens mask strapped over his eyes and a mouthguard that looks like its bearing demon teeth (if the mouthguard were to extend to his chin, there would be three metal spikes). I created him as a descendant of a violent race who is trying to focus and control his more aggressive urges. He wields two tri-tipped daggers and is typically mistaken for a thief because... let's face it, he looks like a criminal.
I thought I'd suggest him as an NPC.
