I am here to do spritework for your game. He described the appearance as a tactics rpg. If this is true I'll be starting on it right away as such. I already grabbed character pics, so just waiting on alittle more info then I'll begin.

ok. I guess I'll get started. Of course, the character's will be scaled down for gameplay reasons, so they won't be as detailed as the sketches. But, I'll do my best to make them at least close to as nice as the pics.

Also, I'll make sure to make extra "alternate" sprites, so you programmers and script-writers have options of what to use. Plz don't feel pressured to use all the sprites. U can trash the ones u don't need. I'll keep a backup file of em so they won't be lost.

Obviously, most of the leads will only need one sprite each. A few will need two. You can certainly reuse sprites for generic townpeople, soldiers, and merchants. Just palette swap them for variety.

oh one sprite means the character will remain a stationery image. I do all my sprites individually. Meaning you have, for standing, the 8 directions, 8 action directions, and 4 movement directions.

720x1280 is game resolution.
i think sprites can be at least 160 pixels tall, or taller if you think they should be.
i personally think the bigger the better.
what does everyone else think?

I just counted it. My current sprite stands at 99 pixels tall, but that may change slightly as it is 80% still a base skin model.

Magixion actually did a scale reference, but it's posted in the developer's threads:



Realistic scale would be about a third this tall, but I think it looks good as is.

You can check out my primary sprite when I'm finished with it. Then you can let me know if u need bigger or smaller.

Ok, sorry for the delay on my reply. I added you to the developers usergroup so you have access to the Dev Center, daniel. Thank you so much for answering the call as well!

Be sure to let us know if you have any other questions, we are all here to help! Smile

By the way, in the dev center there should be a link to our sourceforge account and everything. So, if you could, please make an account there and request to join our group. That way, you can have access to our SVN and upload the sprites and all that on your own.
